James Byrne

Hey everyone, my name's James. I'm one of the co-founders of Landed & Settled. Originally from Epsom, I brought my Australian business to Asia just before COVID and have lived in Saigon ever since.

I met Ryan through playing pickleball. Together, we grew my established pickleball social group to over 500 members, mostly expats.

With a focus on practical solutions and personalised support, my goal is to help expats navigate the challenges of settling into a new country — from finding their feet to feeling truly at home.

My name's Ryan. Originally from Manchester, UK, I founded Landed & Settled with my good friend and fellow Englishman James Byrne.

We created the business after seeing friends and people in our social network struggle to settle in Saigon. We asked ourselves: “What do we wish we'd known and had access to when we first came to Saigon?”

With over ten years of experience living in Asia between us, and the network we've created, we want to help new expats arrive and feel settled in Vietnam.

My name is Linh Khan — people call me Lin. I'm the head Vietnamese interpreter and accountant at Landed & Settled.

I've lived in Saigon for five years. I was born in Da Nang and studied international business in Australia.

I help clients with translations and language barriers, including situations such as renting a property from a Vietnamese-speaking landlord. My goal is to help people and make a positive mark on the world.
